Norilia Nordic was established in spring 2020 by the Norwegian company Norilia AS, and the Danish company Himmerlandskød A/S. Norilia Nordic markets and sells all Nordic hides and skins from the businesses of Norilia and Himmerlandskød. The company buys refinement services from Norilia and Himmerlandskød's processing facilities. This collaboration enables us to offer a significant volume of top-quality hides and skins.
Norilia Nordic was established in spring 2020 by the Norwegian company Norilia AS and the Danish company Himmerlandskød A/S to create additional value through optimization of quality and the value chain. The aim is to make Norilia Nordic a more competitive and attractive supplier of Nordic quality hides and skins for the international tannery industry.
Norilia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nortura SA. Norilia's purpose is to preserve and utilize plus-products from the Norwegian meat and egg industry to contribute to profitable and sustainable agriculture. Norilia's mission is to ensure that all available resources - the whole animal – are used for products the world can benefit from and enjoy. This work is based on more than 60 years of experience, and Norilia exports to the entire world. Norilia handles 90% of Norwegian bovine hides and 80% of the lamb, sheep, and goat skins.

Himmerlandskød used to be made up of four well-managed companies, Himmerlandskød, A/S Hjalmar Nielsen, Nordic Beef Hadsund, and Kjellerup Eksportslagteri, but in 2018 they were unified, thus becoming one single brand: Himmerlandskød. Today, they still have four corporate divisions located in Farsø, Aalestrup, Hadsund, and Kjellerup, and the company is Denmark’s second largest beef slaughterhouse and cutting plant. Himmerlandskød operates according to the key values of ‘parsimony’, ‘industriousness’, and ‘propriety’. Their culture is founded on professional pride, workmanship, and honoring the promises they make.
